One Leg Up is a children's adaptive, but all inclusive clothing brand proudly based out of the Bay Area, California. Inspired by Taylor, a now 7-year old, who was born with PFFD- also known as Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency. PFFD caused Taylor’s right femur to be shorter than his left, leaving him to deal with many difficult surgeries starting in his toddler years that will continue through his teenage years. Each surgery has presented new obstacles, which to his family’s surprise included finding clothes that easily fit over his prosthetics, external fixators, half-body casts, and more. Taylor’s mother Rosemary & Grandmother Connie tried everything they could think of to make his clothes fit properly, but still most of his wardrobe ended up poorly cut and still not functional or fashionable. Over and over again, Rosemary and Connie searched for clothes with an adaptive function, but with the few options they found, nothing was of good quality or even that adaptable. It was important to them to find an alternative to help Taylor look and feel his best just like the other kids. They put their heads together and created One Leg Up Brand, a clothing line that is not only adaptive in numerous ways, but also is trendy with great quality. It has a look that could be worn for any child with or without a disability.
